課程概述 |
觀光研究的發展與地理學之間有深厚淵源,「觀光地理學」向來是人文地理學重要的次領域。觀光追求的是異於日常生活的體驗,與移動以及地方建構息息相關。全球化時代,觀光活動頻繁多樣,發展出各類主題與形式(如生態觀光、黑暗觀光與戰地觀光等),跨尺度的觀光流動也可能影響個人的親密關係與國族認同。全球化推動的大旅行時代,近年因COVID-19的流行而阻斷,對觀光發展造成重大衝擊,也改變觀光地點的主客關係。由上可知,觀光與旅行引發了諸多值得探討的議題,涉及地方發展、地緣政治、親密關係、生態保育等倫理省思。對於上述現象與議題,該如何從地理學的角度思考?本課程試圖透過觀光地理學的理論視角,針對實際觀光案例涉及的空間、尺度、移動等地理學主題進行討論。課程首先介紹《觀光客的凝視》等觀光研究的基礎理論概念以及與人文地理學知識的關連,進而在此過程中引介不同主題,例如觀光與現代性、純正性以及主客關係,接著依序聚焦觀光與自然、地方發展、國族認同、浪漫假期,以及後觀光等主題。透過課堂討論讓修課同學熟悉觀光研究的代表性理論與重要的研究案例與趨勢。 |
課程目標 |
由於觀光研究是跨領域的研究範疇,因此本課程在上述架構中引導修課學生從文化研究、文化史、人類學、政治生態學、政治經濟學與地緣政治等不同視角審視現象。期許啟發修課同學能以多元觀點對觀光與旅行相關現象與議題進行批判思考。 |
